Sorry second post of the day!

More news, very sorry lol....

I am also in my second week of the mother load scrap class from big picture classes and this weeks topic was firstly about organisation.... Anyone who knows me will know that I am not too well organised, in the way of remembering important things, dates or times etc etc... But with things.... I am always organised. My DVD collection for example is in alphabetical order...and if this gets messed up i go crazy lolsame goes for my scrapping stash... My papers are sorted into mot only patterned and plains but in colours too.
My alphabets are sorted into batches depending on their size, style etc etc...my buttons are in colours sections, bit anal i know but at least i can put my hands straight on something when I need it!

Anyways... Let's say this weeks get organised task was easily achieved!

Then the focus for our picture was... What makes you happy.... Scrapping makes me happy but I don't wanna take more pictures of my scrapping space etc, so what also makes a proud mother happy? Her children! Especially when they are doing something hilarious... So when Lola came in the room with her lipstick on!!! ..... I had to take photos immediately lol

Here is the page I made with my 'what makes me happy' photo

Lovely lippy page

I also had to use something from my stash that I haven't seen in a while.... So I searched through old stuff and came across some chipboard shapes, so I painted them up and used them on my page as embellishments.

The inspiration for this page came from the ribbon reel challenge blog, there was a sketch to follow, which I did... And also we had to use ribbon, lace or twine....I went with the lace up in the top corner.

Thans for the challenge girls xxxxxx

Class in progress!

Hey hey! Am I one happy bunny today:)

Last night I taught my very first class outside of crop..... I was invited by Sara, the rangers leader, To go to their ranger session and teach the girls aged between 14 and 16, a bit of scrapbooking. Must admit i was extremely nervous before i went, and felt very queasy as I walked towards the church hall, but a promise is a promise and how could i let them down at the last minute.

I was very pleased to see saras smiley face as I approached the doors, she welcomed me in and immediately I relaxed. And then when I met the girls I chilled even more.

They were very easy going, nice, chatty lovely young ladies. I really enjoyed teaching them and listening to their very funny conversations. It took me back to the good old days lol.

They were all really good at listening and following the instructions and produced some fabulous pages. I didn't take individual pics but here is a group shot of them all hard at work.

The ranger girls

And here is the page I taught them.... Only theirs was titled 'this is me' with a black and White photo of themselves.

You're the reason

I just had the most amazing night, I got over some of my teaching fears, had a laugh and got some young girls interested in documenting their lives, can't think of anything better

Thanks girls xxxx

For Keilly's ribbon reel challenge blog

More busy, but loving it!

So it's been a busy old week. Kirsty Wisemans class kicked off and is absolutely amazing.... I would recommend it to anyone looking to try something new, experiment or for anyone who needs to get stuff off of their chest, as writing down everything about everything, good and bad is very good for the clearing out of cobwebs!!!

So this week I have managed to..... Do half of my 'me in my moleskine' journal. And I must say I'm loving it. Loving getting messy, enjoying the processes involved in making every page individual. And feeling happy about writing everything down that's in my head. I will finish that off at the crop on the weekend.

I have also started the mother load , big picture class.... To start that off we have to focus on why we scrapbook.... I started scrapping for my children, memories for them so that they can keep them forever, and it's why I still do it now. So that question was pretty easy for me to answer, we also had to do a scrapbook page to represent this and I have half finished this, pics to follow soon.

I also joined in on Keilly's blog, the ribbon reel challenge! This week was related to summer fruits and had a picture prompt. I chose to use the colours from the photo and used a picture of Elsie moo having her very first taste of food, banana custard. She actually loved ti altho you might not know this from her face lol. Thanks Keilly for another great challenge xxx

Oh... And I also designed a class kit to teach a group of ranger girls, look at me all tea berried! Let's hope they enjoy it x
